From icy runs to amazing pow days, the Story is a directional, all-mountain beast. The stiffened, slightly tapered tail and basalt stringers make for a lightweight, smooth and snappy ride. Combined with Magne-Traction® along the edges, a multi-camber profile, and a setback stance – you’ve got a board that can tackle the entire mountain. With its blend of amazing eco-friendly technologies and newly updated shape for increased all-mountain dominance, the award-winning Story is a beautifully different kind of deck.
Please note: Alternate base color schemes are used to avoid extra plastic base material waste during production! Base colors vary between grey and black. Base colors may not always be guaranteed, however we do our best to honor any special requests.
The pop and edge control of regular camber, with the float of reverse camber. Optimal versatility in all types of terrain.
Powerful, snappy and stable. Directional flex.
Extra edge contact points to give your board more edge control and stability, especially in icy conditions.
A replacement for carbon fiber with similar characteristics; 2 straight Basalt Stringers are strung tip-to-tail to increase pop for jumping, torsional snapback for smoother carving AND stability at speed by damping those nasty vibrations.
A tapered tail and setback stance help drive power from the back end of your board through the nose, and make the nose float more easily in deep snow conditions with less effort.

The jack-of-all-trades, swiss army knife, whatever analogy you would like to pick, this board really does it all. This board has great stability in variable conditions, the right amount of responsiveness when you need it, and mean edgehold. It even rides supremely well switch for a directional twin and would recommend to a rider that wants a reliable character board that can handle a pow day, ripping fast groomers, and steep technical terrain even in sub-optimal conditions.

Great aggressive all mountain board that excels in East coast conditions as well as powder. The board has great edge hold in icy conditions but isn’t overly grippy in soft snow. It achieves a pretty good balance at handling all conditions well. It is pretty stiff but still maintains decent slow speed handling due to the profile. This also makes it pretty forgiving for its stiffness. Overall I am super happy with the board. I purchased it to replace my icy day board and find that I am riding it a lot more than I thought I would. I also find the board pretty agile. I watched some reviews before purchasing and they said it wasn’t a quick turner. It turns fine. Not ultra quick but plenty responsive. I paired it with Rome Katana’s and am very happy with the combo. I wear 10.5 boots, weigh about 195 and purchased the 159.

4.5/5.0 for the 2020 Story. This is my go to everyday rider. My only “complaint” is the nose is just a bit short for the super deep days.

Sick board. Straight lines, trees, easy groomers, deep deep pow. Niche owns the all mountain category.
Amazing piece of technology.
Pow pow pow 2023.
