Finding the right size snowboard for you can be confusing and complicated. The range of possibilities can make it challenging to get a good general idea of what to look for. In general, a good starting point to look for in board height can be from your collar bones to the top of your nose, however the specific details for each model of snowboard might change a general recommendation for a few reasons! Niche does not have 3D bases, so standard stone/base grinds are perfectly safe to have a shop perform.

The easiest boards for beginners among the Niche lineup are the Wraith and Minx. These models are flat or nearly flat camber, which makes them less likely to catch an edge. They are soft and easy to initiate turns with, and they are true twins, making directionality a bit more fluid as you learn. Anyone can learn to ride on any snowboard, however these features/specifications make the learning curve a little less challenging!

The standard factory edge tune is around 90° so you are able to fine tune as you prefer! Traction bumps do not require anything special; they are a natural part of the curvature of the sidecut itself.

Reference stance is the stance location that the dimensions of a given model/size board are designed around. Generally speaking for our boards, this is the center point inside the insert packs. With your bindings set on the Reference Stance you are positioned with the intended stance setback relative to the effective edge. If you prefer a narrower or wider stance than the Reference Stance, you must move each binding in or out the same amount of holes.

Warranty & Repair

Niche Snowboards warrants the original purchaser of new and unused Niche Snowboard to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of initial purchase. A manufacturing defect would be a non impact-induced delamination. Impact damage is not categorized as a manufacturing defect. For instance, if you were charging hard one day and accidentally ran the nose of your board into a tree and it snapped, that would be considered as impact damage and would not be covered under our warranty, as it was not broken due to a defect in its production.

- 2-YR Warranty from the date of purchase.
- Products produced prior to winter 2020 will be not eligible for warranty
- The validity of a manufacturer’s defect will be determined for approval by Niche Snowboards sole discretion.
- Niche Snowboard only obligation shall be to repair or replace the defective snowboard.
- The warranty applies only to product purchased from Nichesnowboards.com or an authorized Niche dealer.
- Niche snowboards will not be responsible for any costs, losses or damages incurred as a result of loss of use of this product.
- The original warranty is non-transferable to second owner or other persons.

- Misuse, abuse, or neglect
- Improper mounting or adjusting bindings.
- Impact from riding on non-snow surfaces i.e. rocks, rails, stairs etc.
- Damage caused by anything other than manufacturing defects.
- Buying a board from a gear exchange / private individual makes warranty null and void

Returns & Refunds

All snowboards and apparel have a 30-day money-back guarantee from the original date of purchase if and only if the following is true:
- Items must be in original packaging in new/unused condition.
- Niche Snowboards is not responsible for lost packages. We highly recommend shipping with a carrier that offers tracking.
- Purchaser is responsible for shipping cost to return new/unused product
- Mail returns require up to 14 business days to process.
- Refunds will be given within 14 days of receipt of the returned merchandise.
- Customers will be notified via email when the return has been processed
- All return shipping charges must be prepaid. No C.O.D. will be accepted.
- For defective product returns please reference our Warranty Policy.
- Buying a board from a gear exchange / private individual makes return null and void.
Send email request to info@nichesnowboards.com using the email title “Request RA.” If your exchange or return is approved, you will receive an email with additional instructions.

A refund request can be submitted within a month after the purchase is made.

In the case when the product and packaging are unopened and undamaged, you are eligible for a full refund.
In the case when the packaging has been opened and the product has been used, you are not eligible for a refund.
In the case when a product has been damaged, and the damage is not covered by your warranty, you are not eligible for a refund. -
When an order does not include free shipping, all shipping costs (including the return shipping) are handled by the customer.

When an order includes free shipping, only the cost of the return shipping is handled by the customer.

Domestic shipping can take up to 5 business days, foreign shipping could take up to 14 business days. Niche Snowboards offers multiple shipping options to fit your needs and ensures our customer care team applies top notch procedures to get your items in route as quickly as possible. Please contact us with any questions or concerns regarding cancels, updates, rush orders, etc!
- Orders will be processed and shipped within 24-48 hours
- Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or US Holidays will be fulfilled within 24-48 hours from the following business day
